Children's Spirituality Summit

The Children's Spirituality Summit brings together children’s ministers, developmental psychologists, spiritual formation leaders, lay leaders, pastors, teachers, sociologists, parents, and theologians from a broad spectrum of Christian traditions to collectively explore children’s spiritual formation.

Jennifer A. Guerra Aldana serves as a pastor of La Fuente Ministries- a bilingual, intercultural ministry of Pasadena First Church of the Nazarene and graduated with her Masters of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary. At Fuller Youth Institute, she serves as the Director of Multicultural Initiatives.

Lacy Finn Borgo teaches and provides spiritual direction for the Renovaré Institute, Fuller Theological Seminary and Portland Seminary. Her forthcoming 

book Spiritual Conversations with Children: Listening to God Together will be released in March 2020 through IVP. 

Presentation & Scholarship Info

We are now accepting paper, workshop, and Taste & See submissions. To find out what presentation format fits your work best, or to submit work, please visit our Call for Presentations page. 

We offer two $1000 scholarships to students currently enrolled in M.A. and PhD. programs. To find out if you qualify, or to apply, please visit our scholarship page. 

Summit Costs

Registration is now open! Registration costs cover all portions of the Summit including dinner on June 8, lunch and dinner on June 9, and a boxed lunch on June 10. 

 

Early Bird Registration (January through February 29): $300*

Regular Registration (March 1- May 30): $325*

Late Registration (May 31-June 8): $350*

On-campus housing:  On-campus housing is available. The cost is $120/night (including tax) and provides: hotel-level linens/towels and toiletries; private bathroom; two twin beds or one king bed (kings are limited, based on availability); single or double occupancy. Contact info for housing reservations will be available when you register beginning in January 2020.
